Add to Feed: Peter Laird’s Blog
tags: ,

I try to be a passive promoter of RSS feeds, and especially of using Google Reader to catch up on all the blogs and many other sites (including Twitter) that you’re no doubt following on a daily basis.

So as I hope that you fine folks might subscribe to my own site’s RSS feed (it’s that button near the top right), I’d like to occasionally point you towards one of the many blogs (over 150 by last count!) I personally subscribe to. These feeds offer tutorials, tips, or general inspiration in the field of graphic and motion design, film, and art in general.

The first entry is palblog, the blog of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Peter Laird.

Now, while I will try really really hard to keep posts in my blog strictly relevant to its professional nature, many artists’ blogs blur the line quite a bit. Peter Laird’s blog is one such example, though not glaringly so. He offers updates on the current TMNT projects of which he’s still heavily involved, as well as samples and behind-the-scenes snippets from back in the past, from TMNT’s humble post-modern indie comic beginnings, to when it had exploded into a full-blown corporate franchise.

As one of the greatest successes in the history of independent comics, it’s great to see how Peter Laird has kept hold of the reigns of his creation (with Kevin Eastman).
