As you can see, I’ve recently just implemented ads into my site (you can see it to the right).
To keep it short and sweet, rest assured, ads will only appear in the full page Blog posts (such as this one). Any other pages or posts (like those in my portfolio) will remain ad-free for eternity.
By serving ads I will have a little bit of support the encourage the growth of the community and to write more posts, tips, tricks, and tutorials within the GPS creative and professional field.
If anyone strongly objects to it, in the interest of community, please feel free to express so below.
p.s. – speaking of which, I’ve also implemented more social networking functionality to the site, which should let you guys share content from the site as well as follow me on other social networks with greater ease.

Honestly, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with you using ads to keep your site and blog supported. I think it’s about time for most people to realize that many million dollar corporations are willing to pay people in advertising revenue just so that they can have people simply acknowledge their ads for like 2 seconds.
I remember it took me some time before I asked myself why Google was a free search engine and Facebook a free social media site and yet they were multi-billion dollar corporations. All about generating advertisement revenue from outside corporations. Keep up the great stuff, man!
Looking forward to your blog posts! What’s in store for GPS next?
Looks good to me! It’s not obnoxious and honestly most ads relate to the content of the site they’re on anyway, and most people only realize ads when they actually advertise something you want to buy (for me it’s usually a book or something). I think most complaints and problems arise from not putting ads on a site/blog when you start it, then turning around when you have a following and trying to put up a bunch of ads to make money. People already don’t like change, and they like it even less when it looks like you’re trying to annoy them/make money off of them (like all the flap about the new facebook privacy settings). As long as you’re up front with having ads from the beginning, I think it’s cool…and hey, it’s not like having a blog is free, so why not give people the chance to advertise?
