Note: Regrettably, clip does not feature the sound design and music as it appeared on film.
Production company Screaming Out Loud Productions, makers of the short film Shades of Grey, written and directed by 4th and 1 writer/Deer Season production designer John Cleland, and produced by Deer Season producer Bryan McKown, commissioned Greasy Pig Studios to create its production company logo, featured at the head of the short. Incidentally, Arvin Bautista served one day as a production assistant on the set of said short film as a favor to its creators; he then chronicled it in this classic edition of aLiveJournal.
Under extremely time-sensitive conditions, we took video of John Cleland using the video function of a point-and-shoot still camera, and rotoscoped using Adobe Flash. While more coincidental than intentional, the art style is a sketchy homage to the works of Howard Chaykin.
