Animated interstitial for a live action short film written and directed by Eric Mansur. Tracee, an aspiring DJ sneaks into an exclusive club to show everyone her spinning skills, and gets to meet a cute guy along the way.

Entirely designed and animated by Arvin Bautista, the sequence, which depicts Tracee making her way through the crowd to the DJ booth after sneaking in, took its inspiration from the club and rave scene in general, with aesthetic influences ranging from Emily the Strange to anime like Macross Plus and End of Evangelion.

Out of focus foreground elements and dramatic, kinetic lighting add depth and motion to this otherwise low-budget and short turnaround sequence.

The animation was entirely produced within Adobe Flash and delivered as a full HD Quicktime.
