When King Soundworks, badass Emmy-nominated Hollywood sound designers, asked Greasy Pig Studios to design their entire online presence, the very first thing we designed was their logo, followed by their website, and motion logo.
Deriving inspiration from old biker decals, the King Soundworks logo incorporates the royal connotation of the name (named after founder Greg King and his brother Darren), but gives it an edgy spin. Two versions of the logo were used: one was a simple black on white vector logo for letterheads and movie credit slicks, and the second is the logo composited onto a pin button, making it appropriate to be found on a biker’s jacket (wow, now I want that button of my own), or in the back of a biker’s jeans.
In addition, we also designed a business card that incorporated the logo with the textures and imagery found in the motion logo, specifically the stone texture and sparks from overhead.
