Three separate motion graphics sequences for this short documentary on the “Real American Dream,” directed by Julie Pifher. Project debuted at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.
Title sequence: American flag waves under words “American Dream,” and the word “REAL” spray-paints on top.
Space sequence: To signify “infinite possibilities,” a 3D hyperspeed pullback from earth out to the milky way. Used public-domain images from NASA’s archives.
Happiness graph: Built from scratch in AfterEffects, to show how happiness and money are not endless linear correlation.
Project turned around in 6 hours!
Final submission format: HD quicktime sequence.
